Jenkka (FE2122)
Jenkka is a plant with compact growth and arching leaves. The flower clusters are relatively short and narrowly branched and are well protected against night frost. The variety is easy to harvest. The fruits have a good taste and are very firm, making them suitable for the direct market and short trade channels.
Rijpingstijd en productie
Jenkka is a mid-time variety which ripens three or four days after Sonata. The production is high and the plant produces a lot of class I fruits.
Fruit quality
The fruits have a conical shape, the first fruits can vary a bit and can be slightly grooved. Jenkka is very tasty, the fruit owes this to the high brix value. The fruits are very beautiful and have an intense shiny red colour, they can turn a little darker after picking.
