Malwina

Malwina is one of the late varieties. The plants are vigorous and robust. The fruits are large and have a good taste, especially when picked fresh.

Plant properties

Malwina has robust plants with dark green, medium-sized leaves. The flowers bloom underneath the leaves so they will not suffer from night frost. The fruits are large, firm and very tasty when picked ripe.

Malwina’s production is 15% lower than Elsanta’s (20% lower when covered with straw). About 85% of the fruits are large (77% when covered with straw). This ensures that there are a lot of class I berries. However, it is more difficult to pick the berries because they are between the leaves.

Disease resistance

Malwina is tolerant to Verticilium and somewhat sensitive to fruit rot. The plants are resistant to mildew. It is important to spray the plants against thrips and Anthonomus rubi.
