Faith

Faith is a late and productive variety, the season is comparable to that of Florence and starts 7 to 10 days after Elsanta. Faith has an attractive appearance, with bright colours and a good taste. The fruits are large, and uniform and retain their size during harvest.

Plant properties

Faith grows vigorously, the flowering period of this variety is well-spaced, leading to a long harvest season. It is also possible to cover this variety with straw so harvesting can be done a bit later. The quality of the flowers is excellent, resulting in good pollination and little deformation. The bunches have clear branches, making the fruit easily accessible to pickers. The berries are very easy to pick.

High productivity means that nutrient levels must be maintained during harvest. Sufficient potassium should be given to maintain fruit quality.

Disease resistance

The variety appears to be reasonably tolerant to powdery mildew and botrytis. Preventive treatment against Phytophthora cactorum is recommended.

Harvest and yield

The fruits of Faith have a conical shape and a bright red colour, similar to that of Sonata. With its ripening time and tasty fruits, Faith fits perfectly between Flair and Malwina. The firm berries are suitable for both direct and retail sales. The fresh taste is appreciated by a wide audience.
